Time to File Your Annual Reports with the Secretary of State

If you own a North Carolina corporation or limited liability company (LLC), you have until April 15, 2018 to file your annual report.

If you don’t, your company could be administratively dissolved by the Secretary of State.

Filing the report is pretty easy and you can do it online. There are a number of companies offering to do this for you for a fee—don’t waste your money. You got this!

You will need to confirm your principal place of business, the registered agent and registered address and the names of the officers/managers/directors. Remember, the names of the owner are not registered with the Secretary of State.

Here is the link to the NC Secretary of State with detailed instructions for filing annual reports.
